50 CENTS TV SHOW CANCELED BY MTV

It looks like Donald Trump’s words have come back to haunt 50 Cent after all, as the rapper’s reality show has been cancelled. The Queens native attempted to jump on the reality show band wagon with “50 Cent: The Money and the Power,” which was shot in Brooklyn, but wasn’t as successful as his counterparts Sean “Diddy” Combs and Donald Trump who had similar on-air dramas. “It will fail because he’s not Trump, but he’s actually a nice guy,” the business magnate said in a November interview. After only six episodes, the MTV series appears to be the victim of poor ratings and lack of buzz. 50 Cent: ‘The Money and The Power’ featured 14 hopefuls competing to win a $100, 000 investment from 50 to start his or her own business venture. The show’s aim was to discover the next hip-hop mogul among 14 wannabes - ranging from an 18-year-old youth counselor, who describes himself as “grandma’s little hustler,” to a guy whose family owns six businesses and raps, “I’ve got more ladies than 50’s got Mercedes. But 50’s failure doesn’t signal the end of the reality road for the network, which said last week it has 16 new series in the works, according to the NY Post. “Our new shows will feature themes of affirmation and accomplishment,” says Brian Graden, MTV Networks’ vice president of entertainment.
DAMN DO YOU THINK THIS WILL EFFECT HIS ALBUM SALES WHEN IT ACTUALLY DROPS?
